Spanish for early Learners (ages 4-6)

Learn two essential Spanish skills (listening and speaking) through songs, images, games and activities specially designed to help children understand and communicate ideas in Spanish.

The program starts by introducing Spanish vowel sounds, adding one new vowel per class with simple vocabulary and songs.

Students learn to recognize and produce key Spanish sounds.

New vocabulary and sentence construction are introduced gradually in an engaging, interactive manner.

Later classes cover topics like colors, numbers, shapes, and animals, teaching Spanish naturally, similar to how native speakers learn, without focusing on grammar rules.

Each class builds on and reviews previous concepts.

After a few lessons, students will start to understand, produce words, answer questions, and respond to common phrases, all while having fun!!

First steps: Reading and Writing (ages 6-7)

Learn the basics of reading and writing the Spanish language through the alphabet, becoming familiar with the sounds of the language and learning how many native children learn Spanish

In our classes, we make learning Spanish interactive and fun. We start off with the basics, teaching kids the sounds and names of letters through games, songs, and activities. It's all about making it enjoyable and engaging!

As they progress, they'll start reading syllables and simple words, following the same path native Spanish-speaking children take when they learn. Step by step, they'll gain confidence in recognizing, reading, and writing words and phrases in Spanish!!

Spanish for children (ages 7+)

Learn Spanish listening, speaking, reading, and writing with a comprehensive curriculum designed for children and taught by an experienced elementary teacher.

The program starts with simple themes like numbers and colors and progresses to topics like animals, household items, and family. Each section introduces new vocabulary, expressions, grammar, and sentence construction.

Students learn at their own pace, progressing through each section as they grow comfortable with the concepts. Each section builds on and reviews earlier material.

Each section features fun activities like games, trivia, songs, arts and crafts, and storytelling to keep students engaged. Students will start using Spanish naturally to answer questions, describe situations, and express their thoughts.

Private Spanish Tutoring

It’s hard to watch your child struggle with homework, and sometimes even harder to help them with it yourself!

We can provide extra help for your child learning Spanish, no matter where or how they study. Book sessions for test prep, homework help, or reviewing core concepts.

Adult classes

Learn to use Spanish naturally in various real-world settings, from beaches to restaurants. Start speaking Spanish from the first class, gaining confidence and skills throughout the journey.

Start speaking Spanish from the very first class and gain confidence and new abilities throughout the journey.

online test

Our adult classes, available for all levels, focus on practical communication. Students practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing, with a comprehensive curriculum following the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) structure.

Each section immerses students in real-life situations through reading, listening, videos, conversations, and other activities. Along the way, students learn about the culture and customs of Spanish-speaking countries, preparing them to thrive in a Spanish-speaking world.

Hi. My name is Laura Mestre, I am a Spanish teacher (from Mexico) living abroad (I'm in South America right now). I have a degree in Primary Education and I'm certified to teach Spanish as a foreign language.

I was a Spanish teacher in elite bilingual schools for seventeen years and a few years ago I discovered a new passion teaching Spanish on-line. I love connecting with my students and finding ways to make Spanish a fun part of their lives.

I believe learning is most effective when enjoyable. That's why I created I Can Spanish: to make learning Spanish engaging. The online classes are interactive and enjoyable, crafted specifically to help children comprehend and express ideas in Spanish.
